Statistic of the Week

Number of Freelancers in the United States from 2017- 2028

Winton picked this statistic and we talked about a couple of very interesting points.  

First of all, Winton highlighted that we see a steady climb without any spikes, so the increase is building on a very strong foundation. 

Secondly, we tossed a few ideas back and forth about why this might be, including corporate partners understanding the flexibility and specificity they can achieve by hiring specialists and project based freelancers, as well as the growing number of entrepreneurs who are realizing they can outsource the parts of their businesses that they may not enjoy doing.

Lastly, Winton put into perspective that 90 million in 2028 is over one-half of the current adult working population in America, which is around 160 million.

 All in all, we agreed, freelancing is on a steady upward trajectory and the opportunities to capitalize on it using the knowledge you already have continues to grow.
